Hey y'all!  Check this out!  The Southern California user groups are putting on a show, a show that sounds terribly like Code Camp.  The catch?  They charge $99. Guess how much we charged for the code camp in Ft. Lauderdale?  $0.  Guess how much we'll be charging for the ones in Tampa, Jacksonville, and Tallahassee?  $0!

Kinda makes you wonder where all that money is going in SoCal...  But more importantly, it should make us thankful that we get it for free!

Just goes to show that Florida ROCKS!! :)

Florida Developers rock. You rock for supporting the Florida community. I truly value your participation in the Microsoft .NET World

I think we have a great local developer community here. If you want to see all the individuals who stepped up go to www.fladotnet.com/codecamp. Killer _local_ speakers.

A personal thanks and appreciation to everyone who has helped make the Florida Developer community the #1 dev community in the world.

I have no clue where you got that we charged at the SoCal Code Camp but we did not. See the site http://www.socalnetevents.com/codecamp and tell me where you see that it will be $99. We had over 400 people show up, we had a free geek dinner for 200 people with a live band and a geek jam after the main band and all anyone needed spend was to get drinks at the bar.

It was a great success and we will do more in SoCal!

But I am glad we did get noticed by the #1 developer community in the world ;)

I stand corrected you are correct there was an event in this time frame that did cost $99 but it was not a Code Camp, it was nevewr billed as one and it was a great event.

Sorry I jumped on this but you did not have your facts correct and as we just had our first Code Camp i wanted to make sure the world knew that we would never have a Code Camp that there was a charge for.

Thanks

Hi Woody,

I didn't say it was code camp, either. I said it looks terribly like a code camp. Now who doesn't have his facts straight? :)

And hey, it only took ya a year to catch up with us, but at least you have a code camp now! :-p
